Swad Ski Racing is a premier ski racing club dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering a passion for alpine skiing. Our mission is to provide top-tier coaching and training programs that cater to athletes of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors.

TRAINING

Swad Ski Racing will not just be a time slot on a local dry slope where members and non members can turn up when they like and get coached on an adhoc basis. From developing novice skiers through to continual personal development of athletes who have been with the club for a number of years, a structured weekly coaching plan, coupled with rewards and club activities will ensure the longevity of SSR for many years to come. Swad Ski Racing Club Nights Mondays and Thursdays 7pm-9pm

Russ Pike

Head Coach
A Snowsport England Accredited Coach working toward Level 2, I reignited my passion for skiing after 20 years away. From launching a school team to coaching university racers, I’m now proud to help grow ski racing in the East Midlands with Swadlincote Snowsport Centre.

Matt O'Neill

Assistant Coach
Matt is a highly experienced ski racing coach with over five years of coaching and a decade of broader sports expertise. Based in Gloucester, he has coached for various clubs and institutions and remains dedicated to developing skiers at all levels, even while spending time in the Alps.

Join us Membership Options

SSR offers membership options catering for individuals and families, including exclusive benefits such as discounted slope fees, food and beverage offers, exclusive use of Members lounge, and access to special events.

SSR Club night sessions run Monday & Thursdays 7pm-9pm

Where members can’t commit to attending regularly, there is a flexible ‘Turn up and Train’ membership at a cost of only £15/session.

Monthly individual membership to attend unlimited training sessions twice weekly is priced at only £50.

While a family package, comprising at two adults and up to three children, is available at £150 per month.

Ultimately we hope Turn up and Train members will become Monthly members and benefit from even greater preferential rates/offers.

For all membership types ‘each member’ will be required to pay a one off annual fee of £5 which covers Snowsport England Insurance/Public liability
